The latest spur that has been created on the Internet is by none other than Microsoft. Windows 10 for free? Well, why not!

Quick Heal will support Windows 10 free upgrade

Most users who have Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 on their PC have received a notification on their taskbar asking them to reserve their free upgrade to Windows 10, which is due to release on July 29, 2015. Clicking the Windows logo opens up a screen that instructs users on how to reserve the upgrade and also gives a short overview of the OS. And for obvious reasons, many of our readers who wish to get this upgrade have asked us whether or not Quick Heal will be supporting Windows 10. Well, we couldn’t be more glad to let you folks know that Quick Heal will be supporting Microsoft Windows 10. But there are a few important points about this upgrade that we would like to discuss with you in this post.

First, a few important facts about the free Windows 10 upgrade
• The free upgrade is available for users of Windows 7 (Service Pack 1) and Windows 8.1 (Update)
• The upgrade will be available starting July 29, 2015
• Users can get this upgrade for free only till July 29, 2016
• As confirmed by Microsoft, this upgrade is a full version of Windows

Which versions of Quick Heal will support Windows 10?
Quick Heal v16.00 and above will support Windows 10.

What do existing users of Quick Heal need to do?
Users of Quick Heal v16.00 (2015)
We will be releasing a Quick Heal software update (QHWin10Update). Installing this update will make the product compatible with Windows 10.

Note: QHWin10Update will be released soon.

Users of older versions of Quick Heal (versions lower than 2015/v16.00)
We recommend you to upgrade your Quick Heal to the latest version (v16.00). Doing so will let you receive QHWin10Update which is necessary for Windows 10 compatibility, as mentioned above. You can upgrade your product to v16.00 for free by clicking here.

Important:
• Existing users do not have to uninstall or reinstall their Quick Heal copy. All they have to do is install QHWin10Update once they have received it on their PC.

• After releasing QHWin10Update, we will duly notify our users about it to make the process smooth and hassle-free.

      Of course not! Quit pirated software now. because windows 10 onwards, things are gonna be Mac style, meaning that it will be mobile/tablet oriented. And duplicate OS in that is gonna look odd.

      According to Microsoft the Windows 10 update is a free update for all the genuine as well as non-genuine Windows 7, 8 and 8.1. Though updating your system will not change the current license status of the product.

      No, we can’t upgrade windows 10 without genuine licensed PC’s. you must have licensed windows 7(SP1) or Windows 8.1

    Mr Rounak , a non genuine PC means you are running a pirated verson of windows and microsoft doesnot provide any kind of update or upgrade to non genuine version of windows.

    i am having windows7 sp 1..when i was about to reserve windows 10 upgrade i got to know about a issue to my pc that windows 10 will work on my pc but requires a software.
    according to the issue driver and application installation(lenovo) might not work.
    so is it wise to upgrade my pc to windows 10 after knowing this issue. plese help..!

    1. I am using Window 7 and might consider window 10.
    2. 1st time your representative installed “Quick Heal” around 4~5 months back.
    3. On installation of “Quick Heal” I could not use my laptop for about a week.
    Your representative tried his best for about 3~4 hours but could not
    correct the problem. He finally took my Laptop with his.
    4. It took around 4~5 days to make the Laptop usable. During the period I had
    to borrow friends laptop.
    5. No doubt I am now very happy with “Quick Heal” and hope your compatible
    new version will not cause any problem if I go for Window 10.

    I HAVE MADE A BLUNDER BY INSTALLING QUICK HEAL IN MY LAPTOP.PRIOR TO QUICK HEAL I HAD KASPERSKY ANTIVIRUS INTALLED WHICH WAS GOOD ENOUGH.AFTER INSTALLING QUICK HEAL NOT ONLY MY LAPTOP HAS BECOME VERY SLOW BUT FACING LOTS OF PROBLEMS WHILE WORKING ONLINE.

    NOT WORTH QUICK HEAL ANTI VIRUS PLANNING TO UNISTALL

    I am getting a notification on task bar to upgrade my windows by windows 2010. I have read the notification that you have published for all the quick heal users. Sir I want to upgrade my windows without upgrading my quick heal antivirus which I had bought in 2014. Sir my antivirus will expire in December 2015.

    Sir can I upgrade my windows 8.1 by windows 10 without upgrading my antivirus on the date you have mentioned above i.e., July 29, 2015 to July 29, 2016 and if will not upgrade my windows 8.1 by windows 10, will it create any problem in my laptop.

    My PC has undergone repair for turning on the windows update….
    so I have to format the entire disk and again reinstall the software of windows 7…
    the person who reinstalled it said me that never turn on the WINDOWS UPDATE option as it has crashed away the entire system software…
    can i update to windows 10 with out any problem

      I think your windows7 copy is not original one. pirated copy’s updating,always turned off by installer manually. & if you on it, system will be crashed what happened to your computer. better you install original windows8. because windows 7, you will not get

    Will the content on one’s PC remain safe?
    I strongly feel one should not rush for this upgrade.
    Let the time pass and see how the things settle. After all nothing
    is going to go wrong if one continues to use existing versions.

    I have already upgraded to WINDOWS 10 Technical Preview. But My Quick Heal Total Security 16.00 is not supporting. Can I install “QHWin10Update” after releasing. I will be able to install it on my WINDOWS 10 Technical Preview or i have to use Windows 8.1 to install “QHWin10Update” then i have to upgrade to Windows 10 Technical Preview.

    Also could you please release a fix so that action center recognises quick heal and not go to scanner.exe(in my case sometimes it recognises and sometimes it doesn’t).

      As per the blog post, you need to ensure that you have the latest version of Quick Heal, i.e. version 16.00 installed on your machine. Moreover, you also need to update to the latest virus database. You can do this by opening the Quick Heal dashboard and clicking on UPDATE.

    hi i updated my windows 7 to windows 10. Now as i restarted my laptop i got the welcome screen after that the screen goes blank with just the cursor on the screen and nothing works.
    I guess many people are facing this issue ?

    I have upgraded my OS from windows 7 to windows 10. I was using Quick heal IS essentials 2014 in my lap with windows 7. Now I tried to upgrade the IS essentials to v16 to use with windows 10, I could not find the version 16 for IS essentials but it is for only Quick heal internet security.     Quick Heal Total Security 2015 (V16.00 File Version 9.0.0.47, File Name QHTS64) is not working in my system, Which was downloaded from https://www.quickheal.com/installer as Suggested by Support Team.

    Showing Error Message : “This Program has Compatibility Issue”

    After that I tried my Quick Heal CD, but Problem is same with CD Installation.

    My System Info Windows 10 – 64 bit OS, Intel i4 3.5 GHz – 64 bit Processor, 4 GB RAM, 500 GB HDD 84 GB Free Space in C Drive.

    I called Service Center But They said to Install TeamViewer6 in my System, So that they will provide technical support but Till now they didn’t contacted me.

    Very Poor Service from Quick Heal Support Team.

    I have bought pro version of quick heal 14 and is not installing to my windows 7.I have auto run the cd provided but in the time of installing it detect virus and restart my pc several time but the virus is not removed and it is not installing.Please tell me a way.

    1).How can I Block any programme or file or software from accessing the Internet or block it from directly connecting itself to internet.
    2). I have gone through – Open Quick Heal Dashboard=>Go to Internet and Network=>Firewall Protection=>Program Rules=>Configure……checked box – Allow only trustworthy programs.
    But When I uninstalled one software it made direct access to internet though it was not in allow list in settings.

    I have Quick Heal version 16.00.

    I submit the query and screen shoot of my problem but i didn’t get the solution. We cannot install quickheal(16.0) on windows 10. 🙁 Nowadays we get many problems even in while update also.

    I have update my PC from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Before upgrading the Quick Heal v 16.00. Now when I am trying to upgrade my QH there is a problem during Extracting the Files for Installation. What should I do? Pls guide me on this. Because I have renew my QH Total Security just 2 months back.

      Each new version comes lighter than before so that performance can be boosted. However, with all the embedded functionalities there are certain limitations to this as well. This version has been made as light as possible and that has boosted device performance. So we hope that you continue to see the results for this.

    I installed Quick heal Pro anti virus which I Purchased and that is compatiable for windows 8 but after talking with cusomer care he told me the path and installed by inserting key aftr that i feel my internet network speed has been got slowdown. Is there any possiblility like this to happen
