Facebook Scam – “Lost all respect for Soulja boy after watching him beat up his girl”

There is a new scam spreading around in Facebook which claims to show a video of an American Rapper, DeAndre Cortez, better known by his stage name ‘Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em’, or simply ‘Soulja Boy’. Cortez is an American rapper, record producer, actor, entrepreneur and Internet personality. The scam spreads by tempting a viewer to click on a link that shows the message “LOST ALL RESPECT FOR SOULJA BOY AFTER WATCHING HIM BEAT UP HIS GIRL”.

The scam has the following message – “Can’t believe he beat her up in public like that. Why kind of man is he!!”. With such intriguing wording, the scammer arouses the fascination of the viewer and attempts to lure him to click on the link. Once the viewer clicks on it he gets redirected to a scam page that is shown below.

Before the video gets played the user is urged to answer a few questions as part of an online survey and get a free iPad 2.

Never complete such surveys to unlock videos or other content on Facebook. Scam artists use these tricks to spread malware, to obtain personal information or to earn commission from marketing companies.
