“Italian Model” – Facebook Scam
A new spam is spreading on Facebook very rapidly. This new Facebook scam is similar to an earlier one where Marika Fruscio apparently exposed on TV.
Clicking on the link will take you to a fake YouTube webpage where you are tricked into sharing the link further with your online friends.
After clicking on the ‘play’ tab, it will take you to a fradulent link:
“hxxp: //line9123.info/modelwidget.php”
We are now seeing such scams popping up every day. If you get afflicted by such scams, make sure you have removed the entries from your news feed (to stop them being shared amongst your friends), and also check that your profile does not have any unwanted “Likes” under your “Likes and interests”. Alternately, you can report the scam to Facebook Security.
