Quick Heal has released the Software Update for Windows 10 Compatibility

Many of our readers might recall that we had spoken of the ‘Windows 10 upgrade’ release and its compatibility with Quick Heal in an earlier blog post. We are glad to inform you that we have released the software update, downloading which will make your Quick Heal copy (v16.00) compatible with Microsoft Windows 10.

Quick Heal has released the Windows 10 Compatibility Update

Probably the most awaited event of the year, the Windows 10 upgrade is just a few days away from being released to users all over the world. So, we have a great news for all Quick Heal users who are planning to get the upgrade.

We have begun rolling out the Quick Heal software update (QHWin10Update). For those who are not aware, QHWin10Update is a software patch that will make Quick Heal v16.00 compatible with Windows 10.

Some important points to be noted:
# QHWin10Update is meant for all active users of:

  • Quick Heal AntiVirus Pro (v16.00)
  • Quick Heal Internet Security (v16.00)
  • Quick Heal Total Security (v16.00)
  • Quick Heal Internet Security Essentials (v16.00)

# Users of older versions of Quick Heal (versions lower than v16.00)
We recommend you to upgrade your Quick Heal to the latest version (v16.00). Doing so will let you receive the QHWin10Update which is necessary for Windows 10 compatibility, as mentioned above. You can upgrade your product to v16.00 for free by visiting https://www.quickheal.co.in/upgrade/

How to apply the QHWin10Update?
A. The update will be applied automatically if your Quick Heal’s Automatic Update setting is turned ON.

B. You can also apply the update manually. You can do this by following any one of the following methods:

  1. Click on the Update Now button on your Quick Heal dashboard.
  2. Go to Help -> About, click on Update Now.
  3. Right click on the Quick Heal icon in the system tray, click on Update Now.
  4. Go to Start -> All Programs -> Quick Heal -> Click on Quick Update.

Note:

  • Users need not uninstall or reinstall their Quick Heal copy for applying the QHWin10Update.
  • After applying the update, it is recommended to restart the PC.
  • For any information about the Windows 10 Upgrade, visit this FAQs page.

How will users know if the update has been installed on their computer or not?
If your Quick Heal Virus Database Date is equal to or greater than 26th July 2015, then it means that the QHWin10Update has been installed on your computer.

      Here’s what you need to do:

      1. Visit https://www.quickheal.co.in/upgrade/ and follow the instructions given on this page.
      2. Once your Quick Heal 2012 is upgraded to the latest version (v16.00), manually update it by following the ‘Update Now’ button given in this post.

    I am using OS windows 7 which is genuine one. However I run windows genuine software testing tool it is prompting my OS as not genuine. Now what to do with my proposal to go for windows 10 free upgrade. Pl educate me on this?

      Kindly have your computer inspected by a computer professional to know whether you are running a genuine Windows license or not. Please note that, the Windows 10 upgrade is not meant for licenses that are pirated.

    please help me to understand … i use Quick heal in windows 8.1 and i add my product key already and its give me 1 year licences but i use it only 1 mount so if i update my windows to windows 10 then the softer will uninstall . so can i add my old product key for my Quick heal licences…? please send me a e-mail very soon

      Internet data required will depend on the size of the update. If you are updating your Quick Heal software after a long time, it will consume a bit more as the update will be larger. If you are just applying the Windows 10 update, the data consumed will be lesser.

      Since you have the latest version, your Quick Heal copy is good for the Windows 10 update. Simply update your Quick Heal from the dashboard or set automatic update to ON. These steps are highlighted in the blog post.

        download the trial version of antivirus,it is compatible with windows 10. I also had the same problem because I had a clean install of windows 10. I downloaded the trial version and then used my product key to activate the product

      THANK U VERY MUCH FOR YOUR QUICK RESPONSE.

      THE ISSUE IS THAT I OWN WINDOWS 8.1 AND I WILL BE INSTALLING WINDOWS 10 IN DUAL BOOT MODE IN SEPARATE PARTITION.

      FOR THE TIME BEING I WILL SURELY UPDATE TO WINDOWS 10 AND WILL BE RETAINING MY WINDOWS 8.1 INSTALLATION AS IT IS. I WILL START USING WINDOWS 10 WITH MY EXISTING QHAVPRO LICENCE, AS IT CAN BE DONE USING QHAV64.EXE /MULTI.

      I HAVE DOWNLOADED WINDOWS 10 PRO [RTM] AS ALSO QHAVPRO LATEST DOWNLOADER. I INSTALLED WIN10 PRO SUCCESSFULLY ON A SEPARATE PARTITION. I TRIED TO INSTAL QHAVPRO ON WIN10 [RTM] BUT IT WAS NOT SET-UP SAYING THIS VERSION OF WINDOWS IS NOT SUPPORTED.

      SO ADVICE ME HOW CAN YOUR LATEST SOFTWARE PATCH FOR WIN10 CAN BE APPLIED SO THAT I CAN INSTAL QHAVPRO ON WIN10 IN A DUAL BOOT / SEPARATE PARTITION / CLEAN INSTAL SCENARIO.

      I AM A LOYAL USER OF QH AV/ QH IS HOLDING THREE LICENCES [TWO WITH ME AND ONE WITH MY WIFE].

    If I upgrade win10 asking cause I am your consumer of Quick Heal 2015 total security, only want to know that when I install’s Win-10 by refusing my win-7 home Premium, Will microsoft update win-10 by the key that company gave me on my Laptop under the Battery.
    It help’s if I need to format and install new copy and where the win. ask to fill the key to update Premium win.. Can say that after filling the written key on my Machine and after the process happen as I ask it makes all win-7 original and give org. files that we have only when we purchase a new machine.In logic to say that after all it gives a great good look as a new Laptop.
    Please tell and after your answer will decide about win 10.That’s all and enough..

      If you own an original Windows 7 copy and you apply the official Windows 10 upgrade from Microsoft, you will continue to be their original license owner and paying customer. As a result, you will not face any issues in the future as you are getting the OS upgrade from them officially. So you can go ahead and get the Windows 10 upgrade and not worry about it.

    Suppose if the license has expired then the Update Now feature would be disabled so does that mean I won’t be getting the Software Patch to make my existing Quick Heal V16 compatible to Windows 10.

    Is there any alternative way to get Software Patch and apply it.

So, my question is- If i upgrade to Windows 10 first and after that i install Quickheal 16.0 using the latest installer available on the site..Will It Be Installed without this “QHWin10” Update.. Or it will give any error Message..??

    Thanks for the information.BTW, I’m not willing to upgrade to Windows 10. I’m still using Windows 8, not even upgraded to 8.1, though Microsoft tried to force me once to upgrade to 8.1. I already disabled Windows Automatic Update & opted for custom update to avoid any forceful attempt form Microsoft to upgrade to Windows 10. When Quick Heal would get updated to be compatible with Windows 10, would I get into any operational problem to use it on Windows 8 ?

    I’m using Quick Heal Internet Security v16.00 on x64 architecture (original os).

    I am presently running Quick Heal Total Security 16.00 (9.0.0.9). The process which you have mentioned above is the database update, not the UPGRADE (I think)

    Also I don’t find any link to make Quick Heal compatible with Windows 10, with the upgrade which you have released. (I WANT A FRESH INSTALLER OF IT,NOT AUTOMATIC UPGRADE) I contact to Quick Heal Live Support and ironically (I don’t know why) the spokes peson says that AFTER THE OFFICIAL RELEASE OF WINDOWS 10, UPGRADE LINK WILL AVAILABLE ! I become confused ! Please give the exact upgrade link. And tell me the exact size of it for 64 bit QHTS

    Also I have a query.

    The present firmware version of QHTS is 16.00 (9.0.0.24)

    Will the UPGRADE file will turn the 16.00(9.0.0.9) to 16.00 (9.0.0.24) ? Please solve my queries. I am in a bit confusion. Thanks.

      Thanks for writing in. Here are some quick pointers that can help answer your queries:

      1. In this post, we have informed our readers about a Software Update, applying/installing which, will make Quick Heal v16.00 compatible to Windows 10 (which will be released on 29th July)

      2. Users who are using older versions of Quick Heal (lower than v16.00) will have to upgrade to v16.00. Because the Software Update is only meant for v16.00.

      Now, since you are already using Quick Heal Total Security (v16.00), you don’t have to upgrade anything. All you have to do is to ensure that your Quick Heal’s Automatic Update setting is turned ON. However, if you are not sure about this, you can manually update it also. Please follow the Update Now instructions listed in this post.

    I was using internet security essentials 2014 v15.00 which had an updated antivirus database on 01st August 2015. My licence is valid upto 23rd December 2015. However, When I upgraded to windows 10, I was unable to turn on or update it. When I visited the site, they said I have to upgrade to v16.00 and turn ON automatic updates which will make it compatible with windows 10. I am downloading the v16 update now. Will I have to uninstall this version? because I am unable to update or even turn on the option to update in the UI. I’m still downloading the v16 upgrade at this moment, but my v15 is completely useless right now. What should I do?

    Hi Rajib thanks for the information but there is bug.After the latest release chrome doesn’t work with sand box.When I enable sand box chrome shows blank page and after disable it works fine.I contacted to google for the issue they replied that it is something which is not from their side and tell to contact software provider.Your technical team could not fix the problem while I asked them about this.

    I have windows 10 OS.I buyed a new Quick heal AV which packed on june’15 and version is 16.0.But when I tried to installed the app then a message appeared in right bottom corner.
    The message is,”This app can’t run on this PC’Quick heal AV 16.0 does not work on this version of windows.'”
    How can I fix this problem???

    Sir my quickheal antivirus pro cd v16.00 is not installing on my windows 10 upgraded pc which i upgraded 20 days before.Every time when i tried to install it it show a notification of

    As per the comments i uninstalled my quick heal which i was using on windows 8.1 and try to reinstall through CD. Installation do not support in windows 10. My Quick heal internet security essentials copy is 2014 and still it is under licence. I even tried downloading the free upgrade and installed it and tried to add this product key but this product is not working

    i just installed quick heal total security on windows 10 and started facing this error
    ‘DNS PROBE FINISHED NXDOMAIN’. i tried all methods like changing dns server address, reflushing it but no avail, till i had to uninstall it and net connection is working fine now. I have already purchased a key couldnt even register it!

    I bought the Quick Heal Total Security and had already installed it on my pc which was windows 8 or 8.1 (I’m not entirely sure) at that time. It had only been a few weeks when I updated my pc to windows 10 and now, it’s saying that my Quick Heal 16.0 is not compatible with windows 10 when you clearly stated in a previous post that v16.0 and above will be compatible with windows 10.     I am trying regularly to update my QUICK HEAL ANTIVIRUS PRO v16.00 32 bit,but whenever the updating window opens……AFTER PROCESS OF EXTRACTION OF FILES…it suddenly STOPS..AND READS “UPDATE DEFINITION FILE CORRUPT” and no other option provided except finish and cancel the process….

    hi ! ive quick heal total security genuine. i installed update files and updated my another laptop with the antivirus ver 16.00. but recently i updated it to v 17.00, now m downloading the monthly/weekly update file & trying to run the same on my laptop, but it doesnt work. it says definition files not found. kindly tell me what to do as i am unable to update quickheal n cannot connect my laptop to internet so perforce ive to download patch n run it in the computer, hich is not happening. HELP !!!

    Quick Heal slows down the shutdown and startup of PC/laptops installed with windows 10. If you check the event viewer log you will find the delay is caused by quickheal processes.

    Hi, here is my problem:
    I had purchased quickheal total security for 3 years last year and installed activated on a laptop of windows 8.
    I recently got a new laptop of windows 10 pro. But when I try to install quickheal in it it says that ” QuickHeal AntiVirus does not run on this version of windows”.
    I de activated the quickheal in the older laptop.
    What should I do, please provide a solution as soon as possible.

    I have bought a package of Quick Heal total security packed on march 2015 but it’s compatible on Windows 8 and mine is Windows 10 (upgraded in this July). Now there is no any antivirus software is installed on my laptop. How may I install it on my PC though it’s not compatible on my PC ?
