This post is intended to inform our users that we are soon ending our support for Quick Heal Total Security App and Quick Heal Mobile Security App running versions lower than the latest one (2.01.045).

The earlier versions are outdated and do not employ the advanced security defenses that are needed to combat the mobile malware threats of today. Further, they might also present stability or performance issues.

Users are requested to update their app to the latest version (2.01.045) which offers better and enhanced security features which include:

  1. Cloud Scanning, for better malware detection
  2. Advanced Anti-theft
  3. ‘Trusted Friend’ feature to help unblock the app
  4. Emergency Alert
  5. Functionality to report unwanted numbers to TRAI
  6. Call Forwarding

Instructions for updating the app from Google Play Store:

  • Open the Play Store App
  • Go to Menu
  • Go to My Apps
  • Find the Quick Heal App
  • Tap/Click on Update

Instructions for updating the app from Quick Heal website:

  • On your mobile device, visit www.quickheal.co.in/installer
  • Enter the product key
  • Click on ‘Download Product Installer’; the apk file will be downloaded

I use “OnePlus2”. I have loaded the free version of Fonetastic. I hope it’s OK and I don’t need to procure Quickheal Mobile Security.
