Where there is smoke, there is fire; and where there is Internet, there is the risk of malware attacks. Although, perhaps a bad analogy, it sends the meaning right across.

To put it differently, the Internet is like a layer of thin ice. As long as you know about the right places to step on, you will keep yourself from getting drowned in the ice cold water beneath, which can symbolize malware attacks, phishing scams, identity theft, and spyware to name a few. So, in this poll today, we would like to know what according you is the biggest threat to your computer and online safety. Take part in this poll and check the results to see if other users have voiced the same opinion.

(1)Having blind faith in Microsoft is also a big problem for India. For example, once Skype is installed, you can not uninstall it. You becomes a slave of this useless software. It ma be suitable to Americans but it is definitely not for we Indians. For me personally, it is an useless & hopeless item.
(2)Some paid antivirus software (for example: McAfe)is actually a virus definition itself. Never purchase it.
(3)Manufacturers should know that a laptop is more suitable for those who are more than 50 years old and less of those who are less than 50 years old.

Actually, in my opinion, there is ABSOLUTELY NO THREAT AT ALL. Cyber crime, this and that is just a hype. It is not easy to hack into someone’s system. A friend of mine who is a terrible failure at the University keeps harping around that she is stalked virtually by a racist neo-nazi killer who might even be stealing her research data and fears she might go missing if ever she went to France next. My advice to her was simple: if you are so sure that there is such a killer stalking you, why don’t you go to France and come face to face with the situation. Just face the situation na, …! – Venkatesh Iyengar, Pune

I have the 3 year package. Since the last month every now and then the icon shows red even though the downloading shows finished and I have to press the button Resolve now to get the system to show secure. Also, my default google search engine is constantly being replaced by yahoo and/or Ask. Also, on start up about 50% of .exe files do not open until a pop up box saying dll router file not found is clicked OK. Why has Quickheal not removed whatever malware is causing these problems? Is there something I have to do? Please mail me some advice. thank you. My telephone number is Pune 24261819.
